Learning Tracks
Track 1: Introduction to Metering and Metering Industry
The introductory track is designed for entry-level participants, offering a solid foundation in metering principles and power concepts. These classes complement on-the-job metering skills and cover a wide range of topics, including power system overviews, AC and DC theory, meter testing safety, and all aspects of single-phase meters. This track prepares participants for advanced courses focused on polyphase meters.
Track 2: Introduction to Meter Testing in the Shop and Field Transformer Rated Metering
This track provides participants with essential knowledge for understanding polyphase metering. It covers the selection, installation, and maintenance of polyphase meters, as well as the use and upkeep of current and voltage transformers. Participants will gain practical skills and insights necessary for effective meter testing both in the shop and in the field.
Track 3: Advanced Metering
This track offers current and prospective TESCO equipment and software users the opportunity for direct training with the TESCO Engineering and Software team. Participants will receive comprehensive training on various TESCO equipment, including Meter Shop Test Equipment, Meter Site Field Test Equipment, Training Boards, and Safety Equipment. This hands-on training ensures users gain in-depth knowledge and practical skills to effectively utilize TESCO’s advanced metering solutions.
Track 4: Management Topics, Current Events, and Industry Trend Discussions
This track offers insights into the latest technologies, industry trends, and operational challenges in the metering sector. It includes updates on new technology implementation projects and features several roundtables for in-depth discussions. Ideal for professionals and managers, this track helps participants stay informed about the metering industry’s direction and current issues.
Track 5: TESCO Nighthawk User' Group
This track will allow existing or prospective Meter Manager Software users to have in depth discussions and hands-on training with our Meter Manager Software team to enable users to get the full benefit of our Meter Manager Software. This track will also include extensive discussion and hands-on with our latest Meter Manager 3.0.
Track 6: EVSE / Metrology and Calibration
This track combines theoretical and practical content to bridge the gap between concept and application. Participants will explore essential topics in metrology and calibration through comprehensive classroom sessions. Additionally, this track includes an exclusive tour of TESCO’s calibration lab, offering hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of modern metrology practices.
